If your a regular blogger or not, having a decent desktop blogging client is one of my biggest recommendations. If you know how to use a word processing client like Microsoft Word then you can use a blogging client. My main reasons for using one are…
- Use it offline and post later
- Spell checker
- Quick and easy to format text/images
- Pre or Post date posts
- Manage multiple weblogs
Microsoft has recently update the very excellent Windows Live Writer which is free and one of the best clients for the windows platform.

Mac and Linux
Okay if your Mac or a Linux’s person then have look at these two post of alternative clients.

I like using BlogDesk, it works pretty much the same. I always have trouble configuring Live Writer for some reason, though I may give it another go seeing as it has some extra WordPress features now.

On the whole I found the configuration of Windows Live Writer fairly easy. I recently started a blog for a group of friends and they all managed to setup it with limited problems.
Having said that BlogDesk looks good too!

And here I was going to buy Office 2007 just so I could use Word with the blog post option and you provide me with this big money saving time saving tool! This is great! Thanks for recommending this and I am going to download right now.
