		<description>How odd! As Victor might say "I dooont believe it!" - I've been working on a similar post for my own Blog but with a bias towards networking infrastructure.

I'd hate to let you down - so here goes!

1. Virtualisation - If you have servers with low utilisation then use virtualisation to make the best use of the infrastructure, bring down it's operational costs and provide a more resilient infrastructure. Virtual Server images can easily be backed up and be restored to another server very quickly.

2. Email Store and Forward - If you host your own email server then consider a Store and Forward service so that when your server goes down the emails don't simply get bounced back to the sender.

3. Gateway Protection - When considering putting anti-spam and anti-virus solutions on clients also consider your points of entry such as the Internet connection. Many firewalls these days have these services available at the gateway - allowing you to catch them before they hit the client!

4. Disk Encryption - particularly mobile devices including laptops and PDAs. Imagine the embarassment of leaving a laptop in the back of a taxi or losing it when it contains so much important data. Oh yes, we don't have to imagine - there are plenty of examples in the press!

5. Penetration Testing - You may think you are safe and secure only to find out you may have missed something after the horse has bolted so to speak - so be pro-active and use an established network security company to perform periodic tests on your network to ensure it is secure.

I am planning to upload my post later so keep an eye out and you'll see what I mean!
