Yeah, titles are incredibly important. Not only do catchy titles draw attention, but well-crafter titles can work wonders with search engines.

You can have the best blog posts, but it all goes to waste if you can’t attract the people in the first place. Jason, I presume this has helped with your digg entries.

Nice advice - would also suggest that any archives / previous posts are easily accessible from all blog pages so they are easily spidered by the search engines.

Good advice and tips for bloggers. For point number 10, it’s encouraged to install the blog in root directory if possible. Anyway, it also depend on individual if the homepage is not for blog.

TheBloggerTips - If blogging is your primary business then placing the blog on the root makes sense. Although if it isn’t, you need to be careful that when the user lands on the page they know exactly what the site is about. I thought a while back about ditching the website and going with the blog, but I think potential customers wouldn’t understand the concept.
