    Breakfast With Tony Blair

    By Jamie | March 16, 2007

This morning I had a very special business breakfast with the members of the Scottish and the Edinburgh Chamber Commerce.

Special because the Prime Minister, Tony Blair was the guest speak for 45 minutes or so.

Whatever your feelings about Mr Blair or the Labour government I must say it was a great pleasure to listen to the Prime Minister. He came across very well, taking any negative comments or jokes at his expense very well. One member of the Chamber joking addressed him as Mr President to which Tony Blair laughed at.

A couple of things Tony talked about…

Not the best quality video, but I did only take this on my mobile from 50 yards away.

I lied I think Tony had breakfast next door to us!

I’m writing this blog post an hour or so after the event. Can I find any close up pictures of Tony Blair or news articles from the big boys (Scotsman, Daily Record etc) online, nope! Another reason why your business should have a blog! Be the first to break news, okay think I’ve had to many coffee’s.

It’s a shame the Prime Minister will be remembered for Iraq and not his much greater achievements for public service’s and businesses. Whilst many Briton’s can’t wait to see him go, trust me, we will all miss him when he’s gone, especially if you’re in business.
