Edinburgh Coffee Morning & Beer 2.0
By Jamie | June 15, 2007
If you’ve not already seen Mike and Ewan’s posts on Beer 2.0 head over and take a look, better still leave a comment to say your coming!
Beta Beer
Last night Mike, Johnnie and I had “beta beer” at The Scottish Traditional Beer Festival to do a bit of valuable research for beer 2.0.
Our conclusion was Yellow Hammer, and of course any Belhaven beers!
It’s still on tonight and tomorrow at Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.
Open Source Beer
There was a section on brewing your own beer; it reminded me very much of the open source community. It was free to drink, many different flavours, not for profit, share recipes with one another and a passionate community. Actually, some of the home brewed stuff was not that bad, again there are poor open source software and some very professional high quality stuff.
Edinburgh Coffee Morning
At today’s coffee morning, we had laugh over at Mike’s idea for distinguishing the difference between Fraser of Whitespace and Fraser of Affiliate Blog. Mike has taken a leave out of Flickr’s book and from now on Fraser from Whitespace will now be Frasr. Geeky I know, but we had a laugh about it!
PowerPoint Web 2.0 Logo Maker
Using PowerPoint 2007 I came up with a couple of logo ideas for Beer 2.0 and Edinburgh Coffee Morning. Now I’m sure the designers from group can come up with something slight better, but this should start the ball rolling.

Jamie, just thought, in the spirit of dropping vowels out when spelling certain words, (a la Frasr), how about a web 2.o spelling for Beer 2.0=:
br.2.0
