How to thank your readers, will $4,000 do?
By Jamie | September 3, 2007
Edinburgh graphic designer, David Airey is rather good when it comes to thanking his readers. He makes a real effort to reply to comments, visit readers sites and quite often gives a shout out in his posts. Something I’ve tried to emulate when people leave comments on my site.
Dave’s Dollars
To celebrate his blogs first year, yes one year and 1,500 readers! David has organised with other bloggers to give away $4,000 (£2,000) worth of prizes, some of these include…
- Logo design
- Custom WordPress
- Marketing advice
- SEO
- Books
- Website Critique
- Years free hosting
- Podcasting kit
- Free Money
- 2GB USB storage keys
- Blog reviews and makeovers
- Writing advice
- Business growth
- Tele-Coaching
USB Terinea
Having been a fan of David’s blog since the begin of year and also a fellow Edinburgh blogger. I decided that Terinea would give three branded 2GB USB storage keys with worldwide shipping.
Dave’s Database
Having exchanged a couple of emails with David on the prize front, I quickly realised this project needed a database to manage the competition entries. So last Monday morning I got coding on a very simple database which should help David’s potential administration nightmare.
Hence I won’t be entering the competition, although I do fancy that Podcasting Kit and WordPress template design.
Head over now!

David - Hope the competition is going well for you.
Suzanne - Thanks for the complements, hope you get lucky!
Thet - The competition is run by David, although donating a prize for the competition is closed. You can enter by blogging about the competition and gain additional points by mentioning the blogs that are donating the prizes.
