Inserting Web Link in Thunderbird PDF Print E-mail

Question

I was wondering, how do i get the actual link to a piece when I am emailing about it? As in, if I show an image, how do I link it directly to that item on my website page, rather than the person looking for it?

Answer

  1. Open up Thunderbird (Your email client)
  2. Click on "Write" from the top toolbar
  3. Compose your email
  4. Open your Web Browser and browse to the web site you wish to email a link for
  5. Highlight the the web address by either holding down on the left button and dragging the mouse across the text or simply clicking on the address bar
  6. Right click and select "Copy" (Ctrl+C)
  7. Highlight the text you would like to be a link and select Insert > Link from the top drop down menu
  8. Right click on the text field and select paste (Ctrl+P), the web address should now appear, click on ok
  9. That's it.
